The commissioning of the European Commission for the grandchildren of the Afghan Taliban regime is “helaas a noodzakelijk kwaad”. The minister of Asiel and Migratie Anneleen Van Bossuyt (N-VA) was brought into the chamber on Thursday.

The European Commission has a talibandelegegatie uitgenodigd to Brussel for onderhandelingen over the terugkeer van Afghaanse vluchtelingen. The uitnodiging ligt gevoelig, the Taliban want is a armed group that on the other hand, although printed internationally, is not recognized as a legitimate overheid. The Belgian visa can be granted, and the European Commission is located in Brussels.

Minister of Buitenlandse Zaken Maxime Prévot (Les Engagés) took the initiative for the Taliban in person, now in parliament. The visa refusal is never amiss, but the reputation of Belgium is also important in various large international settings.

Do we want to regularize and belonen voor hun criminale gedrag? My answer is neen.”

Volgens Mutyebele is still responsible for the “recognition of a terrorist regime”. “This is a shame for the Afghan women, and for women overall.” The Smet benadrukte that never left the Afghans with a criminal offense, so that all Afghans remained illegal.
