“The United States has been focused on Iran until now”the American leader, who indicated that he now wants to deal with Ukraine, acknowledged not for financial reasons but because of the human cost.

“The only reason I get involved is because I don’t like to see 25,000 young people dying every month.”he added. “Every month 25,000 people die, young people who are just starting out in life. They go to the front and are pulverized there, and Ukraine is also losing a lot of people.”

“Admit this is all ridiculous. So yes, I’m going to do everything I can” to put an end to this, he declared.

The heads of state of the G7, the seven industrial powers, held a working meeting on the war in Ukraine on Tuesday morning in the presence of Zelensky, who arrived in Evian on Monday. Washington’s Western allies who are members of the G7 hope to convince Donald Trump, who has so far been reluctant, to express his support for the Ukrainian president to Vladimir Putin.
