In the statement of the Turkish Volleyball Federation, it was stated that “lumbar discopathy” was detected in the evaluations carried out on Zehra Güneş’s back pain complaints in the Istanbul camp of the national team before the Ankara Stage of the Volleyball Nations League (VNL).
It was stated in the statement that the treatment and rehabilitation process of the national player was initiated by the medical team and that Zehra Güneş responded positively to the treatment applied:
“The adaptation process of our player, whose pain has been significantly relieved, to team training and match tempo continues. Our player’s current condition is monitored and evaluated daily by our medical team. Whether or not he will be included in the match squad will be determined in line with the joint evaluation of our medical team and technical staff, if our player’s physical condition reaches a level that meets the competition requirements.”
