Agreement until 2028 with option for a further year for the former Manchester United and Sporting Lisbon manager
The dawn of a new era: Ruben Amorim will be the new coach of Milan for the next two seasons. The Portuguese coach signed (electronically) the contract that will tie him to the Rossoneri until 2028, with the option for a third year, at 3.5 million euros plus bonuses. Now we await the club’s countersignature. A former national team midfielder, two World Cups behind him, Amorim is just 41 years old, but has already won on the bench. In 2021 he brought Sporting back to winning the Portuguese title after 19 years, a triumph repeated the following year. Having left Lisbon in November 2024 for Manchester, he was unable to repeat himself in England. Now he’s looking for redemption at Milan.
