The Galatasaray chapter is finally over for Nicolò Zaniolo (26). During his fourth loan spell, the offensive player was finally able to recommend himself for a permanent commitment. Udinese Calcio has exercised the purchase option and given him a contract until June 30, 2029. The transfer fee is 5 million euros, and Galatasaray also has a resale share of 50 percent.

Zaniolo fled from AS Roma to Istanbul in the winter of 2023 for 15 million euros, but moved on after just six months. He was unable to assert himself at either Aston Villa, Atalanta Bergamo or AC Fiorentina. It was only at Udinese that he found his way back on track under German coach Kosta Runjaić and played 34 games as a regular last season, in which he scored six goals and provided assists.
