The New York Knicks are the new champions of the NBA. The matter was confirmed when the Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs 94-90 in the final game played the night before Sunday.
The Spurs led the fifth final by 16 points, but the Knicks didn’t budge.
The Knicks’ number one star shined Jalen Brunsonwho scored 45 points.
– I am speechless. This is something I’ve always dreamed of, Brunson said during the celebrations.
The Knicks won the finals 4–1.
In the spring playoffs, the Knicks were hit hard when they won 13 straight at their best.
But what is most significant: the Knicks returned to the championship position after a really long break.
Its previous championship was from 1973.
