The medalists of the javelin throw competition Tero Pitkämäki and Antti Ruuskanen have built a million dollar business.
– The combined turnover of the Keihäsmies companies has risen from just over 200,000 euros in the first accounting year to almost five million euros today, Kauppalehti analyst Ari Rajala says.
The combined turnover of the ex-javelin throwers’ companies is now 4.7 million euros, while in the first year it was only 200,000 euros. Meanwhile, the companies’ profit has risen from 10,300 euros to 121,200 euros in the same period.
– However, when compared to the total turnover, the result is only 2.6 percent, so no master class results have been achieved, at least for now, Rajala says.
The two have several businesses. Pitkämäki & Ruuskanen Forest oy, which bears their name, offers a forest machinery contracting service.
The company’s turnover rose to 3.5 million euros last year. The company’s turnover increased by 1.2 million euros compared to a year earlier.
The company was founded in December 2021, and in the first 13-month financial period, the turnover was 200,4000 euros.
– The company’s turnover has grown strongly in recent years, says Rajala.
In the 2025 fiscal year, the profit after taxes was 44,400 euros. A dividend of 30,000 euros was proposed to be distributed.
At the end of the year, the company had 109,640 euros of distributable equity and 304,200 euros in cash. The dividend distribution could therefore be financed with cash.
A salary of 30,915 euros was paid during the year. According to the attached information, the service has had an average of 0.75 people.
Ruuskanen owns 40 percent of the company through Antti Ruuskanen oy., and Pitkämäki owns ten percent through Tero Pitkämäki Invest oy. The company also has three other shareholders who are owners through their own companies.

After taxes, the result was 76,800 euros. The company has distributable capital of 211,465 euros, but no dividend is presented for distribution.
– There is no information about the company’s owners, but the board has the same people as in the forest contracting company, says Rajala.
Last year, the same group founded a company called Keihäsmetsät oy, whose business is forest ownership and management. The company’s turnover is zero euros, so there was no business yet.
