Singer Sanni commented Up in the morning to his song You and that boy associated uproar.
Supplier Totti Toivonen asked Sanni live if the simultaneous publication of his and rapper Ahdi’s songs was a deliberate publicity stunt.
– It was explained to me a few days before my publication that this kind of situation is happening here, and it came as a real surprise to me. There was no marketing trick on my part, the artist answers.
Sanni also states that it was not his intention to offend anyone with his song.
– I can say from the bottom of my heart that I have never had an agenda to attack anyone with my music, he says.
The uproar started in March, when Sanni released the song You and that boy. Many interpreted it as referring to his ex-partner Shirly Karvise and her current spouse, the rapper Ahti.
Ahti published his own Boy-its counterpart song Sanni’s song. This, in turn, sparked speculation that it was a deliberate marketing ploy by the artists.
Even before the release of the song, Ahti had attracted attention by performing at Abreu’s concert wearing a shirt with “poitsu” written on the back.
– In recent weeks, my age and relationship have been dragged into the headlines without prior warning as a result of another artist’s actions. I was raised to always stand up for myself. That’s how I acted in this situation as well, Ahti wrote on her Instagram in March.
Karvinen and Ahti confirmed their relationship at the end of May Good morning Finland in the program.
