Last Friday, during the Mansaari TT races, he was seriously injured Erno Kostamo35, a new update about the situation has been made on his social media channel.
– Erno has had successful femur and hip surgeries in Liverpool. At the moment, the situation is stable, and the surgeries have been successful as planned, the update says.
Soon there will be a transfer to Finland for further treatment and closer to loved ones.
Even if the return home is successful, Kostamo still has a lot of work to do with his recovery.
– There is a long and challenging rehabilitation ahead, but the first step towards it has been taken. Erno sends a huge thank you to everyone who has shown their support. Your messages mean a lot to Erno and his family.
The Isle of Man TT races are known for being dangerous. 271 participants have lost their lives in the race, which was run for the first time in 1907.
