According to the statement made by the club, after the meeting at the President’s Office at the Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex RAMS Park, Oliver Kahn visited the Galatasaray Stadium Museum with Özbek and examined the history, achievements and unforgettable moments of the yellow-reds.
After the museum visit, Dursun Özbek said, “When Mr. Oliver Kahn visited our museum, he saw the difference between the past and the future much more clearly. It was very important for Galatasaray to win the UEFA Cup. Oliver Kahn’s first international cup was the UEFA Cup. That is why he was very excited. Mr. Kahn wanted to visit us. He has a lot of experience in football globally. We talked with him about some projects to take Galatasaray to higher levels. He and I will be even more special from now on.” “We will come together for projects.” he said.
Oliver Kahn, who also served as CEO (Senior Manager) at Bayern Munich for a while, spoke about the visit as follows:
“Coming to the museum of such a big, wonderful club like Galatasaray is always impressive because you need to visit this place to understand this history. It was especially great to see the UEFA Cup. Galatasaray’s current situation is very important. It is a club that is always developing. The atmosphere in the stadium is also amazing. When I came as a commentator, I experienced this atmosphere myself. There was so much noise that we could not hear each other.”
After the visit, Özbek and Kahn went to Galatasaray Football A Team’s Kemerburgaz Metin Oktay Facilities, where they examined and exchanged information.
