Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates is due to testify on Wednesday about the crimes of investor Jeffrey Epstein, who died in 2019. He told the US Congress that he had no knowledge of the crimes Epstein committed and had never been to his island, according to CNN.

Gates was called as a witness by a committee investigating the Justice Department’s handling of the Epstein case. “I never saw or had any indication that Epstein engaged in criminal conduct,” Gates said. “I have never been to his island, his ranch or his house in Florida.”

The billionaire said he had only limited contact with Epstein between 2011 and 2014. “I never victimized anyone. While he may have tried to build a personal relationship with me, I was never interested in it and never pursued it.”

According to Gates, who met Epstein in 2011, the investor would have had information about his private life. This is how the investor knew that Gates had committed adultery. According to Gates, Epstein tried to put pressure on him. “He did not succeed, but it does show how he used his contacts to serve his own interests.”

Epstein is said to have victimized more than two hundred underage girls. In 2019, he was found dead in his cell. “I should never have met Epstein in the first place,” Gates said.
