Gymnastics star Biles: Almost died

The US athlete had “the worst experience of my life”. And: She had to cope with the situation without her husband.
Gymnastics superstar Simone Biles opened up on Saturday about a medical emergency she experienced earlier this week. The 29-year-old described the situation as the “worst experience of her life,” but did not reveal any details.
“I’m not usually the type to share something like this because privacy is important to me these days, but almost dying wasn’t on my bingo card earlier this week,” Biles wrote in an Instagram Story, which included a photo of her wrist with several hospital bracelets.
Biles said he spent the week “lying in bed and resting.” She thanked her “closest circle” for taking care of her. It was particularly stressful that her husband, NFL professional Jonathan Owens, was not with her because of the offseason training of his team, the Indianapolis Colts.
Biles is one of the most successful gymnasts of all time with seven Olympic gold medals. She won three of them at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, where she celebrated a triumphant comeback after a long break due to mental problems.
