Married young

Petra, now 40, has been married to her drummer-mixer husband Mauro for a long time. The couple met when Petra was only 19 years old. The secret to long-term happiness is accepting yourself and others as they are.

Petra guesses that popularity like Tiktak at a young age in this day and age would be absolutely terrible. Yes, even during the Tiktok era, there was outrageous yelling, abuse, barking and squeezing, but in today’s social media, even the last manners have been thrown into the trash, when you don’t have to be responsible for your words face-to-face.

Eternal inadequacy

Petra has been successful as a musician and has training as a personal trainer and chemist. He has written a book and achieved a lot.

– That’s a paradox, he croaks.

Her childhood dream of becoming a doctor didn’t come true, and for some reason Petra doesn’t feel like she’s accomplished much anyway. Although he has been addicted to work all his life, he lives inside with an eternal feeling of inadequacy.

– I realize that my own image is completely wrong.

Petra has talked about it in therapy and maybe plans to continue it in the future. The background of the feeling is perhaps the insecurities of childhood or a missed adolescence due to a band past.

– I’ve realized that that feeling of inadequacy won’t go away, no matter what I do. So even if I were president, it wouldn’t change. No medicine has been found for it yet.

Petra is a doer and doesn’t know how to stop, but on her day off, after gym training, she knows how to relax. In the gym, other insecurities also disappear.

Petra constantly thinks carefully about whether she is doing the things she really wants to do. For example, he does not believe in the return of Tiktok. But for the future, he has at least one small wish.

– I’m looking forward to such a summer vacation that I could take a nap. To be able to close my eyes in a beach chair, that’s what I’m waiting for.
