Good news for Prince fans. Another posthumous album from the pop icon is being released. The record was titled Timeless and will be released at the end of August. Fans will hear ten songs that have never been released before.
The album promises to be a special journey through the singer’s rich career. The tracklist includes a rare studio recording from his teenage years, but also one of the last songs Prince recorded shortly before his unexpected death in 2016.
To get the fans excited, two previews have now been shared. The first single, With This Tearwas already published in April. Followed last Thursday Stonea song originally from 1995.
Treasure trove of NPG Records
It is not the first time that NPG Records, Prince’s record company, has delved into the artist’s musical vault. In 2021, five years after the pop star’s death, the label released the complete and much-discussed album at the time Welcome 2 America out. Since then, the record company has regularly shared singles and exclusive remixes with the public, but with Timeless A full-fledged new album now follows.
Prince became world famous in the 1980s with timeless hits such as Purple Rain, When Doves Cry and Kiss. He died on April 21, 2016 at the age of 57 from an overdose of painkillers.
