Real Madrid want to make an offer worth 150 million euros for Bayern star Michael Olise. This is not an empty campaign promise from President Florentino Pérez, but a concrete plan to unite the best offensive in the football world with the Royals. This plan was developed a few weeks ago.

The transfer headlines surrounding Real Madrid are traditionally a bit wilder, louder and bigger than other clubs. In the last few days, speculation surrounding the Royals has reached a new level. The presidential elections next Sunday are responsible. Incumbent Florentino Pérez and opposing candidate Enrique Riquelme are vying for the voters’ favor with sometimes crazy transfer promises.

The 150 million rumors about Bayern star Michael Olise fit into the picture. In an interview on Thursday, Pérez announced that he would make an offer of this amount for a player next Tuesday. He didn’t give a specific name, but it has now emerged: the player in question is the French offensive artist for the German record champions.

“Internal sources” confirm Pérez-Bluff

Renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Friday in a video on his YouTube channel that Pérez is actually determined to make Olise the most expensive player in the club’s history and has not simply made an empty campaign promise.

“We can confirm that a Real offer for Michael Olise is expected on Tuesday. […] Florentino said in his interview that it wasn’t him [Olise]. But internal sources at Real Madrid have confirmed that Florentino was just bluffing. He didn’t want to mention the name until he spoke to the club. Unlike Riquelme, who presented Erling Haaland as a Real signing 24 hours earlier,” explained Romano.

Bayern star Olise perfect for the Mourinho system

The transfer insider continued: “Florentino is convinced that Olise could be really, really important to the system that José Mourinho wants to play at Real Madrid. And he believes that additional quality in attack can help develop Mbappé and Vinicius Jr. His feeling is that this would give Real the best attack in the world.”

According to Romano, Olise moved to the top of Pérez’s wish list a few weeks ago when Real and FC Bayern met in the Champions League quarter-finals. “The people around him say that Florentino has really fallen in love with this player,” said the journalist. Pérez is not only impressed by the Frenchman’s quality, but also by his attitude. “That’s why he wants to try to go all in and put 150 million euros on the table.”

Will the powerful Real boss – assuming he wins the election – be successful? “It obviously won’t be easy,” said Romano, referring to FC Bayern’s willingness to negotiate. “Uli Hoeneß said a few weeks ago that FC Bayern wouldn’t accept 200 million for Olise. That’s exactly what Real wants to test now. […] They’re willing to break the bank to get Michael Olise.”
