The Brax womenswear collection SS27 takes you on a stylistic journey through France – “Riviera Lines” is the collection theme. Inspired by the Parisian elegance of a Chanel look, the nonchalant attitude of Jane Birkin, the sun-drenched Côte d’Azur around Saint-Tropez and the legendary Epi Plage, Brigitte Bardot’s former retreat, she transfers nostalgic elements into a contemporary form: as a reinterpretation of French chic that combines feminine sophistication with sporty modernity.
At the beginning of the season, the color palette is based on classic French nuances: navy, lipstick red and creamy off white meet gentle powder rosé and are interpreted in a modern way with warm tobacco tones. As the season progresses, shades of blue from azure to light blue dominate, combined with warm neutrals and modern khaki. Soft blush complements the accent colors. For midsummer, bright pink and golden yellow tones in combination with cool sand nuances and soft light gray create radiant highlights.
When it comes to tops, high-quality natural materials and sophisticated surfaces determine the collection. Linen remains one of the key materials of the summer. In addition to clean, plain styles, the main focus is on the trend topic “Stripe Hype” and presents itself as a transformation of the classic stripe in surprising color combinations, structured stripes, dobbies, elaborate applications or ajour and embroidery elements on cotton and linen qualities right up to the high-quality and modern matching set for the all-over look.
The picture is complemented by floral designs and paisley motifs. The modern “French Girl Look” combines feminine and sporty elements: crochet styles and casual overshirts in a velor look meet smart tailoring, which is realized in clean, flowing scuba jerseys with precise cuts – both as full sets with a blazer and slim trousers and as feminine shirts with a detachable tie.
The “Brax Blouse Boost” capsule focuses on modern, high-quality business blouses made from smart cotton and smart jersey. Whether plain, striped or in other print variants: Smart Jersey impresses with its ultra-fine 36-gauge qualities with a smooth, flowing surface and a particularly light feel, while Smart Cotton made of fine-threaded cotton satin with elastane content provides an elegant, wrinkle-resistant quality with a high level of comfort.
The tailoring idea is also continued in knitwear: clean scuba knit qualities give polos and blousons a sporty modernity, while shortened, slightly boxy shapes create new proportions in cardigans and fashionable half-sleeved sweaters in soft cotton yarns. Summery crochet knit looks and fine Tencel blends ensure lightness and feminine elegance.
When it comes to trousers, versatile silhouettes characterize the picture: wide leg, barrel, cigarette and straight fits contrast with sarouel shapes, culottes and long Bermuda shorts. Pleats remain a central style element and further underline the season’s modern tailoring approach.
The denim is once again inspired by an “indigo spirit” and impresses with authentic qualities and modern washes. Dark rinsed washes remain essential and are complemented by authentic striped looks and super bright vintage washes.
