Top scorer in the Premier League

In the market value update of the Ukrainian Premier League, the biggest winner recorded an increase of 6 million euros, jumping straight into second place among the most valuable professionals. The sole leader is Shakhtar Donetsk’s Kauã Elias, although his rating remains unchanged. However, his previous teammate at the top, Mykola Matvienko, is losing out significantly. The market value of the future Gladbacher, Yukhym Konoplya, remains at 5 million euros before his free transfer.
The focus of the update is Matviy Ponomarenko from Dynamo Kyiv, who has doubled his valuation to 12 million euros. Ukraine expert Artjom Zavodnyk explains the league’s clearest plus: “The center forward only became a regular player in December. Nevertheless, this period was enough for him to become top scorer with 13 goals, make his debut in the national team and attract interest from clubs like Borussia Dortmund and Brentford. Dynamo is hoping for a transfer fee between 10 million and 15 million euros, with President Igor Surkis – as has often been the case – also one more “This approach seems to have led to a transfer from Volodymyr Brazhko to the Wolves falling through at the last second.”
Ponomarenko becomes the most valuable domestic player in the league along with Shakhtar captain Matvienko. However, while the 20-year-old has the third plus in a row and a personal record, things are going downhill for the latter for the third time in a row – from 15 million to 12 million euros. “This is not only due to age – Matvienko turned 30 a month ago – but is also due to declining interest from abroad. He seems to have missed the chance to move to a top league,” says Zavodnyk. So Kauã Elias is now alone at the top with another 15 million euros.
Market values Premier League: Domchak and Isaque on the rise
In addition to Ponomarenko, there are two other big winners: Nazar Domchak (to 4 million) and Isaque (to 11 million), climbing by 3.3 million and 3 million euros respectively. In connection with Domchak’s goalkeeping talent, his teammate at Karpaty Lviv, Baboucarr Faal (+1.8 million to 2.5 million), should also be mentioned. Expert Zavodnyk emphasizes: “Despite a rather mediocre season in which they fell short of expectations, both made an important step in their development and established themselves as top performers. This did not go unnoticed. Slavia Prague and Viktoria Pilsen have already secured the services of the two professionals. Due to the transfer fees of 5 million and 3 million euros, respectively, their market values had to be increased.” With a 471 percent increase, Domchak is the biggest percentage winner.
Meanwhile, Isaque is the next Brazilian jewel in the ranks of champions Shakhtar. The 19-year-old is one of twelve Brazilians in the squad, but none have made as much progress as the attacking midfielder in the last six months. He is increasingly establishing himself as a regular player and is increasingly living up to the €10 million fee that went to Fluminense last summer. His market value now exceeds this sum for the first time and only four players are more valuable than Isaque in the Ukrainian upper house.
The Ukrainian defensive talent Taras Mykhavko (+1 million to 10 million) from Dynamo Kyiv, who has already been linked to clubs from the top leagues, and Gleiker Mendoza from Kryvbas Kryvyi Rig also attracted particular attention. The Venezuelan winger was one of the discoveries of the season, scoring eleven goals and assists each, making him the top scorer. Shakhtar then struck and brought the 24-year-old in for €3 million in the summer. Its market value also increases to this amount after an increase of 1.8 million euros.
