Actor Marcel Musters made a striking appeal to his followers last week: send me one euro and help me get rid of my debts. That campaign turned out to be a resounding success. Within a day, the actor, known for Penoza and Gooische Vrouwen, was debt-free. He spoke of enormous relief and thanked his followers extensively.

‘Left-wing people’

Now, less than a week later, X-influencer MiesBee points to a glamorous photo series that Marcel did for Saar magazine, together with writer Stella Bergsma. And that causes grumbling online. He is wearing a very expensive fur coat and they are enjoying champagne together like real bon vivants. “I want that euro back,” says Mies.

Story boss Guido den Aantrekker warns people not to fall for the talk of these types of ‘folks’. “Never give money to left-wing people, with the emphasis on lazy. They don’t know how to deal with it,” he writes. X.

‘Never donate!’

Many of MiesBee’s followers agree. “’Yes, but he looked so happy and grateful in his video!’ He is an actor,” says a certain Jeroen.

Renate: “That’s why I’ll never donate again (just because, with such vague things).”

And Marko: “Naive to think that it would help anything for this attention-hungry media guru. No better than the rest. I think he should rot in his debt.”
