In sun-drenched Benidorm, several Flemish people have been scammed by their trusted friend and neighbor. Veerle (44) thought he would buy a garage space through ‘Toni’, Hans (61) had been renting apartments through him for years. But it turned out that the property wasn’t even his and he walked away with all the money. The Spanish police have now arrested ‘Benidorm conman’ Antonio Q.. This is how he proceeded: “We have lost more than 5,000 euros. We will never see our money again.”
