For six years, Ida Nielsen was on stage with Prince as the bassist of the New Power Generation and in 3RDEYEGIRL. The Danes know the legendary musician’s work down to the smallest details – and let the audience at the Zig Zag Jazz Festival in Berlin take part in it.

The slap bass icon will celebrate her mentor’s songs, funk school and raw energy on July 24th from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Gasometer in Berlin-Kreuzberg as part of the festival’s official program. The organizers – Ella Radio and the Zig Zag Jazz Club, which has been named the best jazz club in Germany three times – promise a night that is more concert than tribute. The performance will be presented by ROLLING STONE.
