In the coming years, the BNP Paribas group will be recruiting fewer people for commercial activities in Belgium. The Belgian bank thinks that in three years it has been taken from a dozen thousand people that it has access to artificial intelligence and digitalization. “Tegelijk blijven we invest in cafeterias,” says CEO Michael Anseeuw.

The Franse group BNP Paribas has also provided more details about the strategy for its Belgian banking activities in the period 2026-2028. The focus is on efficient works, on the other hand the artificial intelligence is built on roles and technology that is stronger within the group.
Chatbot needs to be contacted over and over again
Artistic intelligence can be used in a way that makes it look more impressive. You can also see the chatbot from the bank last year for direct contact. “Klanten can all regulate via the app, they can also speak to a banker. A large part of the interactions can be negotiated via a bot.”
Before you can use your bank card, you can have a large stream and contact us. Last year, BNP Paribas received 8.6 million dollars. “In 2028, we will have 7 million people interacting with each other via the bot. We will therefore have access to the sales from the call center,” says Anseeuw.
“Ok de komende jaren zullen AI-investeringen het mogelijk om gelechts 75 à 80 per cent van der Vertrekkend Personeel te vervangen.
1,000 jobs lost
Volgens Anseeuw can be artificially intelligent in three years and the work of two different medewerkers is used. Last year, a total of 500 people were sold to BNP Paribas Fortis, the third bank was 330 new workers aanwierf. “Ok de komende jaren zullen AI-investeringen het mogelijk om maar 75 à 80 per cent van de vertrekkers te vervangen”, Aldus Anseeuw.
The bank has its own investments in personnel. “With opleidingen, onder meer in expertise, we will be on the market.
Delocalization neemt toe
Naast AI also has “smart sourcing” in the future, but it is also more efficient. The house is also taken into account by the bank, which is open to external partners and other entities within the BNP Paribas group. Previously, BNP Paribas was awarded a contract with the Vakbonden over the overheveling of 580 client service providers to the Accenture consultancy.
The delocalization zal de coming years still toenemen. Today, in 2028, it will be available for more than 2,000 people, verduidelijkt Anseeuw. “We want to have an open dialogue with social partners across the board.”
