With the drum band in the lead, the renovated marina was festively walked into. The Tijdok has been deepened, there are new scaffoldings and the basic structure has also been addressed. Modern clubhouses have been built and the marina now has 350 berths.
According to sailor Filip Debuck, the innovation is a big step forward. “I think it is really an added value. It puts Zeebrugge on the map as an important marina. It used to be a corner with wrecks and old fishing ships. Now it has become a beautiful whole.”
