The final match of the Men’s Ice Hockey World Cup will be played today in Zurich, when Finland will take on host country Switzerland.
Radio Suomipop’s presenters Juuso Mäkilähde and Tuukka Ritokoski are going to watch the final on the spot, or at least they are trying to go.
The flight is very late. Mäkilähde tells about it on Instagram.
– A while ago, I received information that I might have a ticket to the World Cup final. I was able to buy really expensive flights, says Mäkilähde in his Instagram stories.
The flight was supposed to leave Helsinki-Vantaa at 16:30, but this did not happen.
According to Mäkijähte, the flight was delayed 2.5 hours due to an incoming thunderstorm.
– In other words, let’s see the nip-nappa failure batch, Mäkilähde writes.
According to Finavia, the plane left for Zurich at 19:09.

The flight time is 2 hours 45 minutes, which means the plane is scheduled to land in Zurich at 20:45 local time. Taxiing the plane to the terminal and exiting the plane, moving around the terminal and other things take its own time.
The match starts at 20:20 local time (21:20 Finnish time).
It is about a 20-minute drive from Zurich Airport to the Swiss Life Arena, where the final match will be played.
So the duo should have time to see at least part of the game, if there are no other delays on the trip.
