A 41-year-old man from Roosendaal was arrested on Saturday after calling 160 times. He was transferred to the detention center in Breda and a concern report was made. His phone has been confiscated.

The police reported this via social media. The officers received a report about the man who had called the operator several times and then cursed at the operator. When officers visited him, he did not answer the door. However, at the beginning of the evening it turned out that the man had already called 911 more than 140 times during the day.

Reason enough for the officers to arrest the man. Misuse of the number 112 is punishable. According to the police, this involves unnecessary and frequent calls to 112. The officers returned to the home and rang the doorbell again. The man opened the door and was again busy talking to the 112 exchange.

Ultimately it turned out that the man had called the exchange 160 times. He was arrested and taken away. His phone has been confiscated.
