Madrid queen and 15 wins in a row
Her today’s opponent is completely different: Marta Kostyuk hasn’t been able to celebrate great successes yet, but she is significantly more successful than Świątek this year and is in extremely good form. Kostyuk recently celebrated 15 wins in a row and is therefore competing with a very broad chest. Thanks to this series of victories, she first won the WTA250 tournament in Rouen, France, and then very surprisingly won the title in Madrid – her first Masters title and thus her greatest career success to date.

Mixed preparation
The preparation on the red surface was rather mixed. In Stuttgart, Świątek was eliminated in the quarterfinals. And Świątek did not reach the final of the two Masters tournaments either. In Rome, where she had already won the trophy three times, it was over in the semi-finals. She also won a title in Madrid, but left the tournament this year in round three.

Clay court queen again?
After three French Open titles in a row, Iga Świątek came away empty-handed in Paris last year, the Pole losing to Aryna Sabalenka in the semifinals. Świątek’s last major title was his Wimbledon success last year. Can the 24-year-old triumph again at her favorite Grand Slam?
