Someone was injured in a fight at the Vulcano dining paradise on Nieuweweg in Werkendam on Saturday night. A window of the catering facility was smashed and fireworks were thrown inside. This happened around half past two at night.
The injured person has been taken to a hospital. The police do not know anything about his exact injuries.
Officers have interviewed several witnesses and are conducting further investigations. A neighborhood survey is part of this. The reason for the violence is not yet clear to the police.
The fight is said to be related to the football match of Kozak Boys 3 against the Zwijndrecht ZVV Pelikaan 6. The final for the KNVB district cup took place on Saturday afternoon on neutral grounds in Wijk and Aalburg. Things got out of hand there too, after the club from Werkendam won this match 2-1. A number of people were slightly injured. The police had to intervene to restore peace.
