An incorrect claim about Barry Gibb, 79, the frontman of the British band Bee Gees, spread over the weekend, news among other things TMZ.
According to the news site, on Sunday, a page named “RIP Barry Gibb” became popular on Facebook, which means “rest in peace Barry Gibb” in Finnish. The Facebook page received over a million likes over the weekend, according to TMZ. According to the site, Gibb died earlier on Sunday.
Gibb’s family now tells TMZ that he is healthy, happy and living his life in Miami. The claim about the death that spread over the weekend was therefore incorrect.
