Lou Jeanmonnot wants to start the new season with improved vision. After your operation there is a clear schedule.
Lou Jeanmonnot has undergone eye surgery. The French biathlon World Cup winner wants to start preparing for the coming season with improved visibility.
The operation took place in her home region of Doubs, as the newspaper “Le Progres” reports. Jeanmonnot had been thinking about having an operation for a long time. The fact that she had problems with her eyes became public knowledge after the pursuit race at Holmenkollen in March.

At the time, Jeanmonnot told the broadcaster “La Chaine l’Équipe”: “I’m already looking at what I can improve for the coming winter – be it my rifle or my eyesight. I wear contact lenses and I think I need to change something in this area.”
Jeanmonnot was “a little worried” before surgery
The Frenchwoman explained that she was feeling “less and less comfortable” with her difficulties and was therefore “considering an operation”. Now she has taken the step. The operation appears to have gone well. Beforehand, Jeanmonnot had admitted that he was a bit nervous: “That’s a bit worrying, since it is, after all, my work tool.”
The biathlete wants to get back into full training at the end of June. After her last fabulous season, she wants to get involved again at the training camp in Premanon.
Jeanmonnot won the big crystal ball in the 2025/2026 season and also won four Olympic medals: two gold, one silver and one bronze. The French Ski Association has correspondingly high hopes of being able to celebrate success again next winter.
