He is the shooting star at Eintracht Frankfurt. At just 22 years old, Nathaniel Brown is thriving in the Bundesliga and is now at the World Cup with Germany.
It’s real. Sometimes I have to pinch myself because everything happened so quickly, within two or three years, that I am here. I would never have imagined that. I was on the way home to my family and at some point I looked at my cell phone, the trainer called me and I had Do Not Disturb mode on it. And then I saw the message telling me to call back. Then my heart slows down a bit, a bit faster. And then I called back and he said I was there and I was really happy.
In Nuremberg, Brown became a professional. In 2024 he will move to Eintracht Frankfurt and impress with his performances, which the national coach is now also noticing. Brown’s personal World Cup goal.
Of course I want to collect my minutes, but that’s in the background for now. I just want to be there for the team. I want to help the team, on the pitch and off the pitch. And do my best.
And off the pitch he also shines with his athletic expertise. As a teenager, he completed training in a fitness studio, so could he also give his colleagues tips in the weight room?
No, I won’t do that. I only look at myself. Well, we also have athletic trainers who can do it a little better than me.
Very humble. The left-back who has a great role model.
For the full-back positions, I want to take Philipp Lahm as a German national player because he is simply very, very smart, hardly loses any balls and hardly makes any mistakes.
And in 2014 he became world champion as DFB captain. It is clear that the Germans want to play a successful World Cup again.
I think we should all put our egos aside in the World Cup because we simply have a big goal and it doesn’t matter who plays there.
And maybe the shooting star will show what he can do at the World Cup.
