For the 2026 World Cup, sponsors and partners want to inspire fans with free jerseys from the German national team. But for some actions it is already too late.

Check24 pulled off a marketing coup for the 2024 European Football Championship. The comparison portal gave away a total of five million jerseys in a German design for the sporting event of the year. The result: fans could be seen everywhere with T-shirts and “Check24” inscriptions in black, red and gold.

There were free jerseys from Check24 again this World Cup year. The travel portal had a total of two million in stock, but they were completely sold out within a few hours, it is said. Now Check24 customers are hoping that another batch of jerseys will be added.

Official partners and sponsors offer jerseys and fan shirts, some of which are licensed originals for the World Cup. An overview of the most important actions – and what you have to do to achieve them.

Where the DFB team plays

The World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026 in the USA, Canada and Mexico. The German national soccer team plays two of its three group games in the USA. On June 14th, the team will play against Curaçao in Houston (US state of Texas), and six days later, national coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team will play against Ivory Coast in Toronto (Canada). The final group game against Ecuador will be played on June 26th in East Rutherford (New Jersey).

Edeka: Fan shirt on the day of action on May 27th

The DFB’s official nutrition partner, Edeka, will distribute an exclusive fan shirt in selected markets on May 27, 2026. The prerequisite for this is a purchase value of at least 50 euros on that day. The shirts are unisex, available in sizes from XS to XL/2XL and bear the official DFB partner logo.

As with similar campaigns before, the following applies here: as long as stocks last, distribution is possible. The shirts are not available in stores and are therefore intended exclusively for the campaign, as Edeka explains in a press release. If you want to secure a shirt, it is better not to make your purchase late in the evening as there is a rush to be expected.
