Iltalehti’s World Cup football manager is a new game that gives you extra excitement and interest in the World Cup soccer tournament.
Iltalehti World Cup Football Manager is a new game related to the World Cup.
Iltalehti’s Lätkämanageri, who has gained great popularity, now gets a continuation of the World Cup football manager. As the name suggests, in this game you select your own dream team for the World Cup, which starts on Thursday, June 11.
In MM-futismanager, you choose players for your team within the framework of an imaginary budget, who collect points based on the real world, i.e. real match events. Players are fictitiously priced according to their expected value.
Participating in the game is free, but requires logging in with an Alma ID. The age limit to participate in the tournament is 18 years. Only one team per user is allowed.
This is how you get to play
Iltalehti’s World Cup futismanager can be found at www.iltalehti.fi/futismanageri.
– If you are not logged in, log in first with your Alma ID.
– Go from the game’s start page to player selection.
– Choose the players you want within the given budget.
– Give your team a name. The team’s name appears on the leaderboards, both in private leagues and in the overall table of all participants in the game.
You can register for the tournament at any time before the tournament starts or while the tournament is running. Teams that register after the start of the tournament will only collect points from the match rounds in which the team was registered before.
Players’ choice
In MM-futismanager, you choose a total of 15 players for your team within the framework of an imaginary budget.
A team of 15 players must include two goalkeepers, five defenders, five midfielders and three forwards. From this group, you select a starting line-up of 11 more players.
If your Starting Lineup player does not play, he will be automatically replaced by a substitute in order of priority on the bench so that the formation remains allowed.
You also choose a captain for your team, whose accumulated points are doubled.
You can find more information about selecting players, switching, scoring and other game rules on the game’s Info page.
Iltalehti’s WC futismanager builds its own composition of WC tournament players.
This is how the match rounds progress
World Cup football manager is played during eight rounds of matches, starting with the opening match of the tournament and ending with the final.
The schedule of the match rounds is as follows:
- Round 1: Round 1 of the group stage (June 11-18)
- Round 2: Round 2 of the group stage (June 18-24)
- Round 3: 3rd round of the group stage (June 24-28)
- Round 4: Top 32 Round (June 28 – July 4)
- Round 5: Quarterfinals / Round of 16 (July 4-7)
- Round 6: Quarter-finals (July 9-12)
- Round 7: Semi-Finals (July 14-15)
- Round 8: Final (July 19)
The bronze match is not taken into account in the game in the same round as the final. The reason for this is that we want players to have the opportunity to check the starting line-ups for the finals before final selections are made for the final round of matches.
You can see the exact matches of each match round in the game program.
Leagues and awards
