The top management of broadcaster WNL will probably be scratching their heads: according to RTL Boulevard, Frank van Leeuwen, Sam Hagens and Welmoed Sijtsma have been spotted in the studios of EndemolShine, where a permanent replacement for Renze Klamer is being sought. Of these three, only Sam has flatly denied it, but is that useful if he was seen there?
Lying Sam?
It seems that Sam, from an opportunistic point of view, does not want the WNL top to know this. If the RTL job does not go ahead, he is highly dependent on the WNL top when it comes to his career opportunities, and if they see him as disloyal, this could significantly affect those career opportunities. At the same time, the masses do not like lying celebrities.
TV critic Rob Goossens thinks that RTL is mainly exploring. “It doesn’t necessarily mean that they have already determined that they need a replacement, but you do want to know what your options are, right?” he explains at the desk of RTL Boulevard.
Reputation
Renze is not going to do it all year anyway and Rob is not surprised that they ended up with the WNL stars. “They also almost all have the same manager, which is also Renze’s manager.”
What does WNL boss Kees Berghuis think? “If the reporting is correct, it will once again underline WNL’s reputation as a breeding ground for great talent,” he says.

A sporty reaction, says RTL Boulevard presenter Vivienne van den Assem. “That is the only correct response!”
And finally Rob: “Yes, that’s a good response. I think the WNL summer barbecue will be a bit uncomfortable this year. One of these people has to break the ice by starting to talk about the application adventure. Then the rest will breathe a sigh of relief that the elephant in the room has been identified.”
