96 is considering loan

Alexander Vogel will become a professional at Hannover 96. On Wednesday, the Lower Saxony team announced that the 20-year-old offensive player, who has been playing for the Reds since the U12, signed a contract until 2029. In the coming season he could try somewhere else first.
According to the current status, Vogel will start training with the second division team on June 23rd. However, it is still unclear whether the Hanover native might move to another club on loan, as a statement from the 96ers shows. “Alex has continuously developed in our academy over many years and absolutely deserves this step,” emphasized sports director Ralf Becker. “Especially in his first season in the men’s U23 division, he showed what potential he has. He has a lot of game intelligence, can be used in a variety of ways offensively and has a very good feel for spaces and teammates.”
Vogel said after signing the contract with his training club: “I was born in Hanover, was in the arena as a child and have been playing for 96 since the U12 – this club is home for me. The fact that I can now sign a professional contract here means an incredible amount to me. My time at the academy brought me to the point where I am now. 96 has shown me a plan for my future path. I will work hard to take this path step by step.”
According to Becker, those responsible want to discuss with the young professional over the summer whether they should try a loan. “First of all, we’re happy that we’ve got a really good boy attached to us.” Vogel managed nine goals and five assists in 27 games in the Regionalliga Nord this season. This made him the second best scorer for the Reds, who finished sixth in the table after being relegated from the 3rd league. Vogel had also shown himself to be a dangerous goal in Hanover’s U19 with ten goals and eleven assists in 39 games, as well as in the U17, where he scored eight goals and six assists in 25 games.
