Police students found about 300 nitrous oxide bottles in a rented bus on Wednesday afternoon during a traffic stop on the Karpendonkseweg in Nuenen. Dozens of other fines were also issued.
The driver of the rented bus was selected by a motorcyclist to participate in the traffic control. The traffic control was organized by police students in the parking lot of a garden center in Nuenen.
The bus was searched in the parking lot and the enormous amount of nitrous oxide bottles was found, which were on two pallets. Some loose cylinders were also found. It is estimated that this concerns about 300 nitrous oxide bottles.
Fines
The police seized it and removed it to a safe location. The driver was not only arrested because of the Opium Act, but can also expect a hefty fine later because he transported the bottles incorrectly.
In addition to this discovery, 69 fines were issued and 13 warnings were issued. Six people were caught driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
