Geert-Jan Knoops was shocked during the recording of Wilfred Genee’s new love program, because he let his tears flow while talking about his wife Carry Knoops.

He has finally done it: Wilfred Genee has received permission from Talpa to make a real interview program in addition to Today Inside. He goes into ‘Mi Dushi: What then is love?’ every day with a different famous love couple to elicit all kinds of intimate statements from them while touring through Curaçao.

Going out with Knoops

The lawyer couple Geert-Jan and Carry Knoops also participated. The recordings were special, Wilfred says in the column The Newspapers. “Coincidentally, I see it stated here: ‘The village of Moerdijk may possibly continue to exist after all.’”

“The funny thing was: I was out with Geert-Jan and Carry Knoops for a few days and then every now and then you have personal conversations with them, and suddenly they say: ‘Yes, we are also going after Moerdijk. We are going to do our best to let Moerdijk exist. Those people have been treated badly.’ Then it goes back to business for half an hour.”

Sweet and funny

The Knoopjes are constantly working on their profession, Wilfred noticed. “Then you try to go back to the personal, but then they immediately return to a very important case in Curacao about two boys who were wrongly convicted. That is so sweet and so funny to see.”

“But what was special: at one point I had a one-on-one conversation with both of them, and then he became completely emotional, Geert-Jan, about Carry and what she meant to him and so on. That was very impressive to see. I didn’t really see that coming and neither did he, he said later. It all became too much for him.”
