After yesterday morning’s incident, a temporary capture ban was in place as a precaution. During the first measurements, an increased pH value of 9.2 was found, while in natural watercourses it is normally between 6.5 and 8. The pollution was not visible, but there was a clear chlorine smell above the water.
The measure was intended to prevent crops or agricultural plots from being damaged by the use of polluted surface water.
