Magenta TV is showing Rock am Ring 2026 in a live stream for the first time since 2019. Iron Maiden, Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit – the full line-up from the comfort of your couch.

Good news for everyone who didn’t get tickets: MagentaTV is broadcasting Rock am Ring.

Back on stream for the first time since 2019

After a seven-year break, Rock am Ring can be seen again for free on Telekom’s live stream. MagentaTV last broadcast the rock festival in 2019. In the meantime, RTL+ and Bild had taken over the transmission. Now the network provider is taking up the concept again – according to its own statements, in response to requests from its customers. And at the same time improves reception on the festival grounds with additional cell phone masts.

This could be a consolation for everyone who was unable to get tickets for the festival from June 4th to 6th. The Rock am Ring 2026 was sold out earlier than ever before – as early as October 2025. One of the reasons for this is a high-class line-up that includes names like Iron Maiden, Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit. Now those at home can watch the spectacle from the comfort of their couch. You don’t need a Magenta subscription.

Festival feeling cannot be streamed

Anyone who has ever been to a festival knows that there is more to the experience than just good concerts. Whether with mud on your soles or in the scorching heat, with dust or beer – or both: for some it sounds like a nightmare, for many festival goers it sounds like heaven on earth. Are festival live streams the death of the real festival experience?

Comfort and inclusion

The level of comfort at festivals is constantly increasing: from glamping offers with a night’s sleep to exclusive areas and fast-lane access to the first rows in front of the stage. With enough money, a stay at a festival can now be almost as comfortable as in a five-star hotel. For some, this speaks against the atmosphere of such events – at the same time it makes festivals more inclusive: for people who, for various reasons, cannot sleep in a tent or stand for several hours, for example. However, such upgrades are only really accessible to people with the appropriate budget. Streaming offers like that from MagentaTV can actually help out here: the entire show from the two main stages, broadcast for free to your own sofa.
