A serious fire raged in a kosher supermarket in the Golders Green district of London this morning. Various British media report this. The cause is still unclear.
The fire broke out in a Kosher Kingdom supermarket (on the ground floor of the building) and in a storage area at the back of the store. The fire brigade sent approximately one hundred employees and fifteen vehicles to the scene.
On its website, Kosher Kingdom says it is the largest kosher supermarket in Europe, with an area of 7,000 m² and 9,500 customers per week.
At the end of April there was another knife attack in the neighborhood, where a large Jewish community lives. Two men were injured. The investigation into that attack was entrusted to the anti-terrorist police. The district has also experienced several fires and arson targeting the Jewish community.
