Crown Prince of Norway Haakon commented his spouse’s crown princess to the Norwegian media on Tuesday afternoon Mette-Marit’s contact with a deceased sex offender to Jeffrey Epstein. Mette-Marit’s name has been mentioned thousands of times in the Epstein documents published in January.

VG– according to the Norwegian newspaper, Haakon said that he did not know about Epstein’s crimes when Mette-Marit started communicating with him.

– I found out about gross crimes at the same time as several others, maybe at the turn of the year 2018-2019. That’s when I became more aware of the extent of the matter, Haakon said.

According to Mette-Marit, Epstein had put her in such a precarious situation in Palm Beach that she called her husband Haakon. Mette-Marit did not want to say more about the situation, but said that Epstein behaved in a way that she did not like.

Haakon was asked if he did anything after the Mette-Marit situation, considering that the crown princess continued to communicate with Epstein even after that.

– The nature of the situation was not such that it would have been necessary or reasonable to contact the police. But it was one of those situations where he felt that maybe Epstein didn’t wish him well, Haakon replied.

According to Haakon, those situations influenced why Mette-Marit decided to end her contact with Epstein. According to Haakon, one of the reasons was also that Epstein used Mette-Marit’s name for his own social gain.

– There were also people who told him that Epstein was not a good person. Not that he was an abuser and committed major crimes, but that he was not a good person, Haakon added.

In March, Mette-Marit told NRK that she stopped communicating with Epstein, among other things, because she felt manipulated. Mette-Marit said she regretted not telling more people that Epstein was a bad person. He only told his closest friends about it.

– I still didn’t know anything about all the abuses. But I had understood enough that I thought he was a bad guy that people shouldn’t associate with. I had seen up close how he blackmailed others. So I regret not letting more people know because I should have.

Mette-Marit also said she wished she had never met Epstein. Mette-Marit has denied knowing that Epstein was a sex offender.
