The municipality of Assen has closed a drug house on the Rijnstraat in Assen. Items were found in the home that indicate trafficking in various types of hard drugs.
Mayor Out therefore closes the house for three months. “The presence of drugs in a neighborhood has consequences for the living environment,” says Out.
“It also has an attractive effect on criminal activities, which can lead to unsafe situations and disruption of public order. By closing the home for a certain period of time, the chance of recurrence, nuisance and danger is reduced.”
