Panicky moments this morning for a mother in Emmen. She had been locked out by her child and needed the fire brigade to enter her house on De Lemzijde.
The mother was standing on the balcony of the apartment complex when the door closed and her child removed the handle. As a result, the woman could no longer enter.
Because the child was alone in the home, the mother panicked. She raised the alarm by calling the fire brigade, who arrived quickly.
Firefighters were able to enter the house through a window using a ladder. Mother and child were reunited soon after.
