Dark May Oy, owned by presenter Vappu Pimiä, achieved record turnover and profit last year.
Kauppalehti’s analyst Ari Rajalan according to Pimiä can already be considered a multi-millionaire or at least a double millionaire, when taking into account the company’s wealth and the dividends raised over the years.
Dark May Oy, founded at the end of 2016, ended its ninth fiscal year in December 2025 with a record result. The company had a whopping turnover of 764,500 euros and a profit of 480,500 euros. Turnover increased from the previous year by 270,300 euros and profit by 170,800 euros.
During the accounting period, Pimi raised a salary of 72,000 euros and a dividend of 120,800 euros. 149,600 euros have been presented as the current year’s dividend.
The company’s distributable equity was EUR 1,867,400 at the turn of the year.
The company’s cash reserves were EUR 101,500, but in addition to that, the company had share investments worth more than EUR 1.7 million.
During its operation, Dark May Oy has made a total of 4.16 million euros in turnover and 2.35 million euros in profit. Salaries have been paid 646,800 euros and dividends 637,100 euros.
In addition, the company owns a 50 percent share of Kiitollisuuskoulu Oy, whose turnover last year was 6,300 euros and the result of the financial year was a loss of 1,500 euros.
Vappu Pimi spoke recently Ukkolaprogram about his finances and said, among other things, that he worked more last year than before.
– I worked really hard last year. I did three TV shows, when normally I have done two, and I got a podcast alongside it. Last year was a really good year, I’m really grateful that I was able to do all these jobs, he said.
Pimiä also told the Ukkola program that social media has made up half of his income in several years. He did not elaborate on the merits of his social media publications, but stated:
– Yes, in Finland you can make more than 10,000 euros with just one post.
In the interview, Pimiä also emphasized how doing commercial collaborations worth several thousand euros requires recognition and hard work in many other areas.
