No promotion, but prices go up: 96 asks fans to pay

Sold out eight times, record number of spectators, fight for promotion right to the end: Hannover 96 had a successful season. The euphoria now has its price.

In the end, coach Christian Titz’s team finished fourth. The season caused a real euphoria among the fans – the 49,000-seat Heinz von Heiden Arena was sold out eight times, a new club record.
A total of 727,500 fans attended the 17 home games of the 2025/26 season. This corresponds to an average of 42,794 spectators – a record in the second division for Hannover 96. For comparison: In the 2024/25 season, the club only reported sellouts four times, a total of 651,100 spectators and an average of 38,300 fans came to the stadium.
“Atmosphere has developed great”
A trend that is well received by the 96 bosses. “The atmosphere has developed greatly, the solidarity is palpable. We have seen what is possible together here in Hanover,” said managing director Henning Bindzus. He would like to “thank you very much for this encouragement and support”.

The second division team obviously wants to benefit not only emotionally from the boom, but also economically. For the new season, Hannover 96 is increasing ticket prices significantly, by an average of around five percent.

The biggest price increases are in categories 1 and 2. There, fans will pay 30 euros more than in the previous season: in category 1 the price increases from 610 to 640 euros, in category 2 fans will pay 565 instead of 535 euros. Category 3 increases from 480 to 505 euros.
On the south and west curve in category 4, the season ticket will now cost 380 instead of 360 euros; in the north area of category 4 the price will rise from 405 to 425 euros. Standing places in the north curve (category 5) will now cost 250 instead of 240 euros.

Family tickets are also becoming more expensive. The parent-child ticket for an adult and a child in the south stand increases from 450 to 470 euros. The family ticket for two adults and two children will now cost 835 euros instead of the current 795 euros.
