Amako could sign a contract with HSV until 2030 as early as Friday. The transfer fee should be around two million euros.

In the recent season, Kofi Amoako, as a regular player (32 appearances, one goal), played an important role in Dresden’s survival in the Second Bundesliga. The U20 international previously played at VfL Osnabrück and in the VfL Wolfsburg youth team. In 2023/24, Amoako has already appeared as a substitute twice in the Bundesliga for the “Wolves”.

“Dream comes true”: HSV talent signs professional contract

The Hamburger SV has given his homegrown player Shafiq Nandja a professional contract. The 19-year-old central defender, who played his first Bundesliga minutes against SC Freiburg on matchday 33 of last season, will be “tied to the club for the long term,” the Hanseatic League announced on Thursday.

Nandja came to the Rothosen in 2018 and went through all of the club’s youth ranks. He has “performed consistently over the past few months and earned his first appearances in the Bundesliga,” said HSV sports director Claus Costa.

For Nandja, as a native of Hamburg, “signing this contract is a dream come true,” said the 19-year-old. For him, this is only an “intermediate goal” achieved because he wants to “establish himself in the Bundesliga team in the long term,” he added.

Big upheaval: HSV is apparently parting ways with 14 players

Seven departures have already been confirmed among the HSV professionals – the U21 of the “Rothosen” adds one more. The HSV regional league team has 14 players about to say goodbye.

The departures of Moritz Reimers (to Holstein Kiel) and Levin Öztunali (not yet a new club) had been certain for a long time. Top scorer Maurice Boakye (23 goals) is said to have aroused the interest of Arminia Bielefeld, among others; his contract with HSV expires at the end of June. Bilal Yalcinkaya, U17 world champion in 2023, still has a contract until 2027, but is expected to leave HSV on loan in order to develop further in the professional field.
