A motorist was arrested on Friday afternoon after he was caught driving for the fifth time without a valid driver’s license. The Markdal police in Breda announced this on Monday afternoon after a major police check.
The inveterate driver also appeared to be under the influence of drugs, he still has a large amount of outstanding fines and has a debt to the tax authorities.
During the inspection at the Chasséveld that Friday, thirty fines were issued for, among other things, driving without a seat belt, holding a telephone while driving and noise pollution.
Four drivers appeared to be under the influence of drugs. In addition to soft drugs, the officers also seized a knife.
