Nine motorists had to surrender their driver’s license to the police on Sunday night on the A4 near Dinteloord. The police held a speed check there.
The speed control took place because of a noise barrier that is being placed there. Due to this work, the emergency lane there has been closed and a guardrail has been installed.
A sign has been placed on both sides of the road stating that the speed has been reduced to 90 kilometers per hour.
But these nine directors didn’t care about that. They were all driving at least 50 kilometers per hour over the speed limit. After correction, one even drove 84 kilometers per hour faster than the speed limit.
