Only a Forest duo more valuable

Nottingham Forest have signed Murillo (23) for another year ahead of schedule. The central defender signed a new working paper until June 30, 2030. Murillo moved from Corinthians to the Tricky Trees three years ago for a fee of 12 million euros, for whom he has since played 114 games (four goals) as a regular. The Brazilian increased his market value from 3.5 million to 50 million euros – only one duo in the Nottingham squad is more valuable.
“This is my second contract extension with the club and I am overjoyed. It is a dream and means a lot to me, my family and my career. It shows me how important I am for the club and that people have trust in me. I would also like to thank the fans because they are not only very important to me, but also to the team. I am very proud,” said Murillo, who also became a national player in Nottingham but was not taken into account for the World Cup.
Technical director George Syrianos added: “Murillo has continued to improve since his arrival here and has established himself as one of the best players in his position. He is a hugely important player for us and values Forest very much, as well as the love he receives from everyone associated with the club. We are delighted that he has extended his contract for a further year – a deal that is both a reward for his continued influence on the team and reflects the club’s ambition to continue our growth.”
