“The way it was going, it’s as if we had won.” Roberto D’Aversa rejoices after the comeback in the derby for the final 2-2: “We kept ourselves in front of our audience, this was the match of love between us and the fans. Our audience who came in large numbers to see the derby deserved it. My boys also deserved it, as they put in a Toro performance. Having gone down by two goals, they did well to recover the match. We wanted to demonstrate the spirit of a historic club of never giving up. Doing it in a derby gives even more satisfaction.”

The coach then discussed the ultras chaos which postponed the start of the match by an hour: “What happened outside the stadium is a cultural problem and we must improve in every aspect. It is not possible for a fan to decide whether or not to play a match and have contact with the players. Unfortunately, this is a cultural problem that we carry forward, the derby is nice to play in front of the families and without the worry that everything is in order outside. In the derby the only worries must be victory or defeat”.
