Big party in Bandung, Indonesia. The national championship of Persib football club was celebrated there. More than a million people took to the streets to celebrate the selection, which included three Dutch people with an Indonesian passport.

Thom Haye (former player of AZ, Willem II, ADO, NAC, Heerenveen and Almere City), Eliano Reijnders (former player of PEC and brother of Dutch international Tijjani Reijnders) and Marc Klok (born in Amsterdam, former player of Jong FC Utrecht) are part of the selection of Persib Bandung.

Images show how 31-year-old Haye is thoroughly enjoying Persib’s championship party. Last year he switched from Almere City to the Indonesian club. Two years ago, Haye opted for an international career with Indonesia, the country of his grandparents.

Reijnders also joined Persib last year. He came over from PEC Zwolle, where he had played in the first team for four seasons. The 25-year-old Reijnders, like Haye, is an Indonesian international. Klok (33) was last in the selection in October last year.

Persib became champion by drawing against Persijap Jepara (0-0). It was enough to finish first with 79 points. Borneo had the same number of points, but Persib took the title based on the mutual results. It is the third national championship in a row for Persib.

Haye, Reijnders and Klok are teammates with Leyvin Kurzawa at Persib. The 33-year-old French left back was acquired on a free transfer from Portuguese Boavista at the beginning of this year.

Before that, Kurzawa played for Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco for many years. He played in the Champions League final with PSG in 2020. He came on in the 80th minute. PSG lost the final 1-0 to Bayern Munich. In France, Kurzawa became national champion five times.
