A promotion to the Premier League brings with it many millions in TV money. Two clubs are still fighting for the last ticket.

The Premier League is the financially strongest league in the world. Anyone who plays here gets hundreds of millions of euros. Around 230 million euros are guaranteed from TV money and sponsorship contracts, because even in the event of direct relegation there would be a “rescue package” that should protect the clubs from a crash. But so far only two promoted teams have been confirmed: Ipswich and Coventry. One place is still open. Hull City and Middlesbrough play each other at a sold-out Wembley Stadium.

Hull City 0-0 Middlesbrough

18th minute: A corner for Middlesbrough! That counts as excitement in the penalty area, even if the ball is fended off quite easily. In the second attempt, Strelec gets his head on the ball, but places the header clearly too high. We count that as a scoring opportunity.

12th minute: The game ripples along here. Hull now gets the ball at their feet every now and then, but there are no chances to score on either side.

8th minute: Hull City briefly tries to get the ball, but a short pass over two meters goes out of bounds. Middlesbrough doesn’t have much to fear here for now.

4th minute: Middlesbrough plays and plays. But so far there are no opportunities. Hull City shows no interest in possession here and almost always shoots the ball high and far forward with the first contact.

1st minute: Kick-off! Middlesbrough starts with possession. Hull City are quite low here at the start and let Middlesbrough do their thing first.

4:26 p.m. – The teams have lined up and the national anthem is playing. It can start right away.

4:10 p.m. – Welcome to the Hull City v Middlesbrough game. Kick-off is at 4:30 p.m.
